Contract length : 05 Months
Summary:
- Experience leveraging modern technologies to increase velocity and decrease the cost of solution delivery, including cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and containerization.
- Building collaborative relationships with team members, fostering a productive team environment, and coaching staff with timely meaningful feedback
- Experience working in large, high-quality codebase
- Ensure monitoring and health of the resources deployed
- Ability to develop and organize scripts, tools, documentation, and test data sets in a version control system
- Quick to identify and troubleshoot issues that team members are having with various tools and support systems
- While our focus is entirely on automation, there may be a need for hands-on testing in various platforms such as Databases, Container, Hadoop from time to time.
- 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), Software Developer, or similar Automation role
- Ability to engage with product and business teams outside of engineering to promote quality efforts, and to support early engagement QA efforts when scoping tickets, defining requirements, and building product roadmaps.
- Must be responsible, interpersonal self-starters, comfortable with ambiguity, excellent communicators
- 3+ years of bash/shell scripting to automate
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following types of systems at their newest versions:
- Prior experience with configuration and maintenance of common applications such as DNS, Nginx, Docker, Kubernetes, MySQL
- Working knowledge of shell scripting languages using bash including Python and Go
- Experience supporting infrastructure and services ranging from on-prem to public cloud environments Azure or AWS
- Available on a 24X7X365 basis when needed for production impacting incidents or key customer events
- Familiarity with Redis and/or MongoDB, Kafka, PostgreSQL, HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Hive Terraform and/or Elasticsearch
- Familiarity with Git
- Experience in debugging and automating routine tasks
- Oracle cloud support, automation experience, technical writing and design experience is a plus.
- Excellent team player focused on getting things done
- At least five years of IT infrastructure administration or configuration experience
- 5+ years of experience in Linux tools and shell scripting or other Linux automation
- 3+ years of experience in one or more languages such as Ansible ,Go or Python is a big plus!
- Experience with Infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, etc.
- Experience with Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
- Experience deploying IaC via CI/CD pipelines in tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.
- Proficiency in automation testing frameworks building integration, acceptance, and performance test automation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with business and customer representatives
- Passion for growing your skills, tackling interesting work and challenging problems
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience
