Full-Time Audio Visual Specialist
Job Description
The Audio Visual (AV) Specialist will work within the Service Desk Team, collaborating closely with facilities, IT support teams, and other technical staff. The AV Specialist is responsible for planning, setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment and systems to support various events, meetings, and presentations. This role ensures that all AV needs are met to the highest standard, providing technical expertise and support.
Your role
- Set up, operate, and maintain AV systems for events, meetings, and presentations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time to ensure smooth event execution.
- Maintain inventory of AV equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
- Coordinate with external vendors for additional AV resources when needed.
- Document AV setups and procedures for future reference.
- Provide AV setup training to Service Desk Technicians.
- Provide 1st Line IT support to the users.
- Support and troubleshoot desktop screen issues.
You have
- Relevant certification in audio-visual technology, related field or similar experience.
- Experience in setting up and operating AV systems for live events.
- Proficiency in operating audio equipment, projectors, displays, and video conferencing.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with AV systems.
- Experience with Video Conference applications such as Zoom, Teams, and Webex.
- Experience managing small-scale technical projects.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with nontechnical staff and clients.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiar with cloud apps such as Google Workspace, Office365 and Slack
