Purpose Union’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Practice works with some of the world’s most ambitious organisations to meaningfully engage with questions around equity. We combine the power of strategy, communications and creative thinking to build new solutions to DE&I challenges.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of the DEI Practice, we are looking to appoint a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who will help us to continue delivering to the highest standards of advice and delivery in DE&I work during an exciting phase of growth for the company.
In this role you will help support the DE&I Practice to support its global clients in the areas of strategy development, research and analysis, inclusive marketing, Employee Resource Group support and much more.
About you

You will work closely with members of the team in a collaborative environment.
You demonstrate a flair for creative thinking, attention to detail and project
management. Additionally, you will be intellectually curious about the big issues of the day such as racial and gender equity, the future of capitalism, climate change, health and education, and you’ll be able to communicate your views effectively.
More specifically, day-to-day you will:
- Support with conducting comprehensive DEI assessments within client organisations, evaluating existing policies, practices, and programs to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Support in developing tailored DEI strategies and roadmaps that align with each client’s unique goals, values, and industry best practices
- Undertake research to understand the state of DEI across a range of industries, including benchmarking client’s existing DEI work and outlining recommendations for future DEI initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to client employee resource groups (ERGs) and affinity networks, assisting in their establishment, growth, and alignment with organisational objectives
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging DEI practices, sharing relevant insights and best practices with clients to drive continuous improvement
- Serve as a subject matter expert on DEI, providing thought leadership and guidance to clients on complex diversity and inclusion challenges
- Collaborate with internal teams to contribute to the development of innovative DEI tools, methodologies, and resources
- Assist with the development of new business proposals and presentations
- Provide administrative support on accounts including event and project management
The ideal candidate for this role will have/be:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work with agility and at pace
- Proficiency at PPT/ Google Slides
- Research skills including qualitative research and analysis
- Strategic thinking
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay abreast of DEI trends
- Interest in DEI and its global impact on companies
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
Desired skills:
- In-depth expertise on DEI
- Past experience working in a DEI role
- Past experience working in a consulting role
- Experience working with or in multinational companies
What we offer:
- Salary: Associate £26,500- £29,999/ Senior Associate £30,000 – £42,799 depending on experience
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (we also offer a bonus day on your birthday and we close the office over the Christmas period and offer paid leave for religious holidays)
