Full-Time Associate Relations Leader

Job Description

Summary/Objective

Under the general supervision of the Business Unit Leader, the Associate Relations Leader’s role is to ensure effective collaboration with all stake holders as well as provide proactive management of associate performance.  Ensure that customer key performance indicators are achieved. Supervise all contingent MAU associate HR functions with a focus on facility on-boarding, payroll, performance counseling and attendance tracking to achieve a positive associate experience and meet customer expectations for contingent staffing.

Essential Functions:

  • Actively promote a safe work culture.
  • Manage standard work activities.
  • Process, verify, and maintain documentation for each employee, including such information as absences, investigation, reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
  • Audit time records.
  • Identify issues and assess problems using a logical problem solving approach.
  • Identify opportunities for improving and streamlining work processes.
  • Research, generate, and administer all Corrective Action documentation.
  • Try new ways of doing things within appropriate boundaries.
  • Support new initiatives by demonstrating ability to focus on positive outcomes.
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit flexibility, creativity, consistency, fairness, discretion, and trust.
  • Recognize confidential information and manage appropriately.
  • Maintain daily interaction with Section Leaders/Managers.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Exercise listening, questioning, motivating, influencing, and decision making skills to evaluate risks and seek advice when appropriate.
  • Plan ahead for activities related to customer engagement (Associate and Client – ie. Proactive solicitation of feedback, frequent scheduled check-ins)
  • Conduct orientations and onboarding, explaining company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees.
  • Demonstrate ability to articulate policies, their applications, and the importance of adherence.
  • Participate in daily start-up shift and production meetings
  • Spend 80% of time on floor engaging with customers – Associates and clients
  • Support on-site colleagues on process improvement, personal and professional development.
  • Promote referrals of potential candidates to the branch for placement opportunities with MAU.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; 2-5 years supervisory/leadership experience or a combination of education and experience

Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2-5 years manufacturing supervision/human resources
  • Lean Greenbelt

The working conditions and environments that are created by our customer’s facilities both in administrative areas and manufacturing environments. Working conditions will typically be manufacturing or warehouse settings that may include process manufacturing equipment and heavy power industrial vehicles. Environments may vary from non-air conditioned (hot/cold) environments to GMP clean room required.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 5- 20lbs periodically and 50lbs on occasion
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 12 hours
  • Approximately 75% of day walking and standing on shop floor
  • Approximately 25% of day sitting at desk and working in office environment.
