We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join our team!
You are a talented, motivated, and experienced Associate Manufacturing Engineer that will join our instrument manufacturing team. You will focus on deadlines while ensuring quality is never compromised. You will have the opportunity to own key sub-assemblies and develop improved process for scaling manufacturing.
How You’ll Contribute
- Own BOM creation and revisions
- Own MPI (work instructions) creation and revisions
- Work toward company goals, and plan to achieve goals on schedule
- Assist the team troubleshoot sub-assembly and system level issues and document issues as they arise
- Encourage teamwork and method improvements resulting in higher productivity, increased yields, and improving quality, while reducing cycle time and cost, using your Manufacturing experience and in collaboration with the Manufacturing Engineering team
- On a day-to-day basis, you will ensure timely production at contract manufacturer, verify material availability, training procedures and product delivery
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering to drive ECOs to production, as part of a dynamic environment with constant product changes, you will work with Manufacturing Engineering to drive ECOs to production
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
- 1+ years’ experience in all phases of manufacturing (assembly, installation, bring up, troubleshooting, and test) of complex instruments
- History of successful performance in a fast-paced environment with a proven ability to make important decisions independently with limited key information, often under pressure and tight deadlines
- Experience generating work instructions, extensive BOM verification and fine-tuning and familiarity with lean manufacturing.
- Collaborative attitude and eagerness to grow and work on a highly multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing to team and company
- SW/PDM CAD experience preferred
