Full-Time Associate Manager of Brand & Marketing Communications
Job Description
Overview
The Associate Manager of Brand and Marketing Communications will manage and support brand and marketing communication activities and projects for Firestone Building Products. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams and works closely with enterprise-wide marketing and communications teams, and particularly MARCOM brand managers, in driving and managing brand and marketing communications initiatives to meet the needs of our business.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute plans with collaboration from single-ply, coatings and wall foam marketing managers, product managers, sales, digital and communications teams on cross-functional brand projects.
- Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Drive marketing communications channels, providing timely, professional support to inquiries received and business messages sent.
- Develop and maintain brand marketing materials in partnership with other marketing managers.
- Execution of tradeshows and events across entire marketing enterprise including: Planning events- enterprise integrated marketing planning calendar (e.g., identifying/negotiating price for event space, determining event agendas, coordinating event marketing, etc.)
- Setting up exhibition space and displaying promotional materials (e.g., brochures, product samples/demonstrations, coupons, branded merchandise, etc.)
- Support all-agency coordination led by Director Marketing Communications and managing program budgets and measure lead generation from events
- Manage the coordination of enterprise content for standard customer and internal communications.
- Work with FSBP’s fulfillment vendors for marketing collateral and samples, setting min/max levels, managing the fulfillment budget, and working to drive program efficiencies through cost containment, process improvement, and customer satisfaction. In partnership with the team and limited oversight with manager.
- Supports Firestone Red Shield program including managing Firestone Master Contractor awards fulfillment process and the Firestone Co-Op Advertising Program.
- Manage and provide a timely and accurate monthly forecast for areas of responsibility; deliver consistent reporting of brand marketing activity across the enterprise. Make recommendations to drive operational improvements
- Maintains Marketing department p-card/meeting card and payables/reconciliations and establishes purchase requisitions against appropriate cost centers and GLs.

Qualifications
- A four-year bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related degree (MBA is a plus)
- At least 3 years total experience in marketing (or related experience), with an emphasis in marketing communications/brand management field
- Must possess superior interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills and can motivate cross-functionally
- Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues in a clear and concise manner
- Must be a strategic, creative thinker, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task while producing high-quality outputs
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and a take charge mentality.
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and a variety of initiatives and processes. Ability to integrate information from a number of sources to arrive at conclusions. Must be able to use intuition, logical reasoning, and innovation to solve problems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Graphic design capabilities with proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign a plus.
