Summary:
The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for managing key categories and initiatives which drive strategic, profitable growth within the Global Accessories product portfolio. This position is responsible for business and competitive analysis, identifying trends, line extension opportunities, channel research, and supporting projects as they funnel through the stage-gate development process.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Insight:
• Partner with Global Product Manager on business case development for new product, category or channel concepts. Business analysis necessary to make fact-based recommendations.
• Develop competitive analysis to inform global point-of-view on product pricing, positioning, estimated volume, and projected margins.
• Utilize data analysis across multiple sources to anticipate business trends, understand competitive activity, forecast implications, and present sound conclusions and recommendations.
• Assist with department budget tracking and support as needed.
Project Leadership:
• Support Research & Development programs that help drive new product/channel strategy, as well as regular product line/SKU review and decisions such as sku rationalization and line extension strategies.
• Facilitate new product launches partnering with the channel and marketing teams on the item-level detail, set-up, and execution of the commercialization product plans.
• Track and continuously improve activities on cross-functional planning, team alignment, stage-gate management, and decision-making processes.
Marketing Responsibilities:
• Provide category support to Marketing team and partner on execution of go-to market plans.
• Mine consumer insights and assist with key research initiatives. Help synthesize information from market and product research findings to develop insights that guide strategic and tactical plans.
• Review and approve packaging, branding, claims and product descriptions in collaboration with Product and Marketing. Support merchandising development for point-of-purchase/impact at shelf.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in business/marketing or related consumer products field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable successes in consumer product marketing, brand or product management experience across a range of product lines
• Demonstrates financial acumen and has experience with, and, understanding of point-of-sale reporting, consumer research, share data, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to think and act proactively with an “in it to win it” orientation
• Cross-functional understanding and ability to partner with finance, sales, research & development, marketing, and operations
• Business analysis and planning experience including sound judgment and decision-making
• Adaptable, resilient, flexible, fast-paced/sense of urgency, and a drive to win
• Ability to travel up to 20%
