Position Purpose
Provides engineering and technical support for electric metering, primary metering construction requirements, best practices, procedures, metering testing, and regulatory requirements. Provides technical support for implementation of the advanced technologies associated with Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and metering communication systems. Support development of metering specifications Provide project status reports for associated projects. Analyze meter test results and provide monthly metering metrics reports. Collaborate with Meter & Service, Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, Billing, IS, AMI Systems, and other stakeholders to ensure that best practice business processes and practices are utilized and that all project goals are achieved.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or relative equivalent area of study
• 0 – 2 years of progressively responsible experience in electric metering engineering or directly related positions
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong technical and analytical ability
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license based on the requirements of the state where the employee resides
• Must be available during system emergencies
