OVERVIEW
Morning Brew is looking for an Associate Director, Revenue Strategy to join their Revenue Strategy team. This role will be responsible for leading the revenue strategy team’s objectives across pricing & packaging, inventory & yield and systems & processes.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to think strategically, understand digital advertising, be process oriented and provide creative solutions.
Our positions are remote hybrid; however, we have a strong preference for employees who can work from our Morning Brew HQ in NYC.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON
– Oversee team responsible for evaluating media plans to maximize revenue and sell through, ensure margin goals are maintained, and provide approvals on discounting requests
– Lead the maintenance and tracking of  inventory across product offering to help guide discounting rules, identify open opportunities and re-evaluate packaging as needed
– Consult on creation & evolution of sponsorship packages, custom opportunities and strategic campaigns
– Maintain rate card with current product offerings, pricing and metrics for all sponsorable media including newsletters, branded content, podcasts, and video
– Create incentives based on current inventory, provide creative solutions to sales requests and oversee pricing & inventory process for shifts, cancellations & makegoods
– Help oversee revenue systems including Order Management System (OMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM)  and Inventory Management System (IMS)
– Oversee reporting requests and provide insights based on revenue and inventory data
– Keep an open dialogue with Sales to understand and react to market feedback as well as ad product performance and provide sales leadership with real time data & areas of revenue opportunity
– Directly manage team’s Manager to support Morning Brew’s goals and revenue strategy
QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years digital advertising experience preferably publisher side in a Pricing, Planning, Account Management or Yield function
– BS/BA or equivalent degree
– Experienced in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, v-lookups) with ability to pull and manipulate data from various sources
– OMS & CRM experience (specifically in Boostr) helpful, but not necessary
– Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with all levels of employees
– Exemplary communication skills
– Exceptional organizational skills and process oriented mindset
– Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities
– Ability to work toward long-term goals while delivering short-term wins
COMPENSATION $145,000 *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience. Total offer package to include benefits highlighted under our perks section below.
