ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Salary
LOCATION: Fremont, CA

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises a crew of installers: including hiring, terminating, evaluations and disciplinary action as directed by superintendent.
- Assist with daily job schedules and prepare daily load sheets.
- Supervises loading procedures ensuring that installers have proper materials, equipment and safety gear.
- Visits job sites and reviews work in progress in terms of productivity and safety standards as per superintendent request.
- Uses daily load sheets and incoming materials to keep accurate inventory control.
- Reviews WIP and plans future projects, ensuring that materials are available.
- Conducts safety meetings on a regular basis, and reviews equipment for maintaining safety standards.
- Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
- Gather and verify daily time
- Monitor fuel usage and verify mileage.
- Fill out incident/accident reports as directed by superintendent.
- Run WIP reports for monthly billings and review with superintendents. Verify all necessary documents have been submitted at time of billing.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of equipment, yard and office space.
- Monitor change orders and time and material costs as directed by General Superintendent.
- Prepare written correspondence as directed by superintendent.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years of experience installing roofing.
- Experience in the Commercial Construction field strongly desired.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- OSHA 30 certificate desirable
- Requires good verbal and written communications skills and a professional manner in dealing with customers and employees.
- Valid CA Driver’s License
- Regular attendance is required.
