Salary Range: $40,751-$70,000 (Based on level of degree and experience. Salary may be enhanced by supplemental teaching.)
Job Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Fulfill contractional obligations for full instructional load during fall and spring semesters.
- Provide excellence in instruction within the Nursing program for undergraduate students, including classroom and clinical (ASN) and/or online (BSN) courses.
- Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.
- Utilize approved textbook(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved.
- Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.
- Provide regular and timely student feedback, guidance, and support.
- Engage in institutional service, professional development, and other duties as assigned by the Nursing Program Director or Chair, the Dean of Health Sciences, Public Safety, and Education, and/or the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
- Attend faculty meetings and participate in department committees.
- Participate in the annual commencement program.
- Complete annual mandatory compliance training.

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (must be currently working towards a Master of Science in Nursing degree) or Master of Science in Nursing.
- Active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Florida required (may be a compact license under Nurse License Compact [NLC]).
- Two years full time experience in clinical practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Clinical expertise in the assigned instructional area.
- Demonstrated evidence of professional development growth through participation in continuing education and other related activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Nursing OR doctorate in a closely related field (including an EdD) with a Master’s in Nursing.
- Teaching experience in a Nursing Program.
- Teaching experience in the simulation setting.
- Demonstrated experience with teaching technologies, including lecture-capture software and familiarity with web-conferencing software to facilitate synchronous online student support.
- Experience in student engagement techniques.
All degrees must be from a regionally-accredited postsecondary institution. This full-time 9-month position is eligible for continuing contract status and is contingent upon board approval and funding.
