Full-Time Assistant Professor, Engineering Technology

Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 (Based on level of degree and experience. Salary may be enhanced by supplemental teaching.)
Job Description:
The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive leadership role in helping the College effectively manage change.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- ·Fulfill contractional obligations for full instructional load during fall and spring semesters.
- ·Provide excellence in instruction in the engineering technology degree programs and other related courses for undergraduate students, including online.
- ·Assist in development and evaluation of curriculum as appropriate.
- ·Utilize approved textbook(s) and/or other instructional materials as approved.
- ·Advise students, participating in institutional service and professional development activities, and engaging with the community and industry.
- ·Collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to ensure student success.
- ·Create and integrate simulated manufacturing environments that will enable students to develop and enhance the skills and knowledge leading to employment.
- ·Provide student guidance and support.
- ·Maintain academic records.
- ·Engage in institutional service and professional development.
- ·Complete annual mandatory compliance training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or related field with at least two (2) years of related and relevant industry experience is required.
- Relevant industry certification may be considered in lieu of degree attainment.
- Teaching experience and classroom management preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the following subject areas: Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical Measurement, Hydraulics, Occupational Safety, Quality Control, and Total Quality preferred.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry to or related field is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Industry recognized certifications in Manufacturing Skills Standards Council’s (MSSC), Certified Production Technician (CPT), and National Coalition of Certification Centers NC3 preferred.
All degrees must be from a regionally-accredited postsecondary institution. This full-time 9-month position is eligible for continuing contract status and is contingent upon board approval and funding.
