Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Botany

Ball State University’s Department of Biology has a full-time contract position as an Assistant Lecturer or Assistant Teaching Professor of Botany available for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Duties and Responsibilities: Teach Introductory Botany, Plant Taxonomy, and other courses as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in the biological sciences or related field from an accredited institution is required for the title of Assistant Lecturer. Effective written and oral communication skills; commitment to excellence in teaching as demonstrated by a teaching statement and/or teaching evaluations.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in the biological sciences from an accredited institution is required for the title of Assistant Teaching Professor; demonstrated teaching ability and/or evidence of scholarly activity.
