Albion College invites applications for the Assistant Director of Sponsored Programs. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and belonging. The Assistant Director coordinates all federally/state funded sponsored programs and research grants and subaward activities, from submission of proposals to monitoring the implementation and management of funded projects. This position acts proactively to inform the CAO of Grants and Foundation Relations and faculty of research, scholarship, and program funding opportunities. The specialist will research, collect and compile information to prepare proposals and budgets which meet department, College, and the funder’s requirements. The Assistant Director of Sponsored Programs collaborates with staff and faculty to coordinate all aspects of grant submission as well as monitors post-award projects for faculty/staff and advises on project administration, reporting and grant expenditures. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. Albion College is an anti-racist institution.
