An exciting opportunity has become available for you to work within the small Commercial Team based at the Rosyth Business Park site. In this role you will be working for the Submarine Delivery Agency, and will directly support the team in the delivery of a wide range of Commercial outputs encompassing all “Cradle to Grave” Activities related to Sourcing, Contract Management through to Contract Close Out for both Single Source and Competitive Procurements predominantly arising from the Submarine Dismantling Programme; Rosyth Nuclear Legacy Liabilities Programme and the Submarine Naval Design Partnership Suite of Contract Arrangements. This is an excellent offering which will give you a wide and varied range of Commercial duties and a unique prospect for you to obtain/increase knowledge of the Long Term Rosyth based Submarine Dismantling work streams and associated Programmes; and to become a important member of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) Commercial Function.

The responsibilities of a Assistant Commercial Officer may include:
• Provide Commercial Administrative Support covering all aspects of sourcing and contract management activities for both Single Source and Competitive Procurements for MOD’s Rosyth based Submarine Dismantling Project Team.
• Assist with drafting Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ); Invitation To Tender (ITT) and contract documentation in accordance with MOD policy and legislation.
• Assist with commercial/pricing reviews of Tenders; supplier issues/clarifications and subsequent Commercial Negotiations processes through to Contract Placement.
• Assist with management of contract amendments within Delegated Authority in accordance with set guidelines and the MOD policy.
• Assist with contract administration; supplier deliverables and payments via the MOD’s Contracting, Purchasing & Finance (CP&F) electronic procurement tool.
• Assist with contract management of commercial files, ensuring due diligence for Commercial Compliance Audit Reviews.
• Communication with a range of internal and external stakeholders including suppliers and Subject Matter Experts.
• Contribute to wider Commercial functional and SDA initiatives as required
What you will be assessed against
To be found successful you must demonstrate the following essential criteria:
•CIPS Level 4 Foundation Diploma (Successful candidates will be expected to work towards CIPS Level 4, if not already held).
•Ability to achieve Government Commercial Function professional standard through Practitioner Level Accreditation Panel
It would benefit your application should be able to demonstrate the following desirable criteria:
•Previous experience of successfully delivering either in a contract management or contract sourcing role
