The primary responsibility of the Senior Web Content Support Analyst is to support the NCDIT Transportation goal of delivering outstanding customer service both to the citizens of North Carolina and to all NCDOT staffers and partners. The NCDIT Transportation Web Systems team is looking for a candidate that is an expert with web content updates and support of user access roles/permissions for both SharePoint and the Microsoft 365 cloud platform. Our ideal candidate must bring a blend of outstanding customer service, urgency, self-direction, and technical know-how.
Duties include, but are not limited, to:
- Use our team’s ServiceNow ticking system to quickly process and assign customer changes and requests, ensuring 24/7 coverage for NCDIT Web Systems sites and applications
- Building SharePoint team sites, including sites that take advantage of Power Automate workflows
- Diagnose customer SharePoint permission issues both for on-premise and M365 cloud-hosted sites and Teams
- Mentor and train others on the support team about process, procedures, and protocols
- Working directly with customers, train new staffers on systems in the SharePoint/M365 space
- Design and build web pages/sites following established design patterns and accessibility requirements

The Department of Information Technology -Transportation (DIT-T) provides a full spectrum of information processing services and support for information resource management in the Department of Transportation (DOT).
The Web Systems unit directs all Internet/Intranet based application development, reports, server/system architecture, and web system maintenance for the NCDOT infrastructure. The Web Systems unit employs management, architects, application developers, web designers and subject matter experts to meet the growing business and technological needs of NCDOT departments and external users.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Demonstrated knowledge of the SharePoint collaboration platform such as building sites, Lists, Libraries, or configuring permission inheritance for both on-premise SharePoint and Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online
- Demonstrated experience providing team and end user support, either internally or through a system like ServiceNow, for handling web site/app support requests such as content updates, permission, access requests, or by serving as an application role admin
- Demonstrated experience in web content and/or design techniques including page layout and visual design for brochures, flyers, charts, or reports
- Demonstrated experience building or developing web sites and applications using languages or software such as HTML, XML, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Cloud, UltraEdit, ShareGate
- Demonstrated experience with end user support and permission support using Active Directory or Azure AD
The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
- Experience with all Microsoft/Office 365 suite such as Excel, Word, SharePoint, Teams, Planner, Forms, Outlook
- Experience with group inbox maintenance
- Experience in end user training
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in application consulting or development
OR
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and six years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
