Job Description:
DEFINITION OF SPECIAL TRUST
Have access to confidential information and/or have the capability to create, delete, or alter records in any of the college student, financial, personnel, payroll, or related computer databases.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for application integrations and support that pertains to Ellucian Banner ERP.
- Primary functions include planning, analysis, and maintenance of integrations between applications including Ellucian Banner ERP, Ellucian Ethos, Ellucian CRM Advise/Recruit, Degree Works, Banner Document Management.
- Maintain cloud-based applications and integrations of third-party services.
- Perform complex scripting, analysis, and troubleshooting on existing scripts and document script operations.
- Responsible for creating and consuming RESTful APIs for application integrations.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
- As a part of the college’s risk management program, annual mandatory compliance training is required.
- Maintain proficiency through formal and informal education.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Technical Operations Manager, Information Technology.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to develop complex integration solutions and overall architectural design of institutional data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Experience in designing and developing integration solutions.
- Applicant must be able to navigate and utilize Linux command line tools at an intermediate level.
- Integration driven development experience with database and software applications highly preferred.
- Programming experience with JavaScript, SQL, and Python preferred.
- Proficiency in various database solutions preferred.
- Experience with Ellucian Banner and Ellucian Ethos API integration strongly preferred, specifically managing and implementing Banner application upgrades, conversions, and SaaS (Software as a Service) integrations preferred.
- Experience with message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ) and enterprise service bus (ESB) architecture preferred.
- Strong understanding of integration concepts such as RESTful APIs, SOAP services, data formats XML and JSON preferred.
- Experience with authentication standards such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect preferred.
- Proficiency in Oracle database administration preferred.
- Experience working in a higher education environment preferred.
