We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist within our Accounting team to help support our Adjustable Bed business. As an Accounts Payable Specialist you will have the opportunity to work with our Bedding Team and our diverse portfolio of products. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by assisting with month end closing, intercompany matching and assisting with other accounting related functions. The team you will be working with is laid back and supportive, and values hard workers who are there
for each other and detail oriented.
So, what will you be doing as an Accounts Payable Specialist?
- Accounts Payable processing, including the reviewing and coding of invoices
- Investigate and resolve match exceptions, ensuring transactions have the supporting documentation
- Research/request credits on accounts, as needed
- Work with team members to resolve coding errors, as needed
- Maintain reports required for period and quarter end
- Work closely with Accounting on various month-end close processes, such as making journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with audit requests
- Develop relationships with Branch personnel to provide support and
- information sharing on a regular basis as appropriate
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- 2+ experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting or Finance
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize work and detail oriented
- Ability to problem-solve and work in a team environment
- A self-starter with strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups
- High degree of professionalism and ethical standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
