The working pattern is Monday to Thursday 7.5 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day
52 weeks per annum

We are looking to appoint an inspirational and extraordinary Animal Management Study Programme Lead and Lecturer predominantly to manage and teach on our further education courses ranging from level 1 to level 3.

college is a full member of Landex the national organisation for land-based colleges and we have excellent practical and teaching facilities at the Common Leys Farm Campus, just 3 miles outside of Witney. You would be joining a vibrant and enthusiastic team of staff where innovation, sharing of best practice and professional development is key.
Along with a breadth of further education courses we currently offer animal and equine degree programmes in partnership with Oxford Brookes University. There will be the opportunity to teach at a higher academic level as well as post 16 school leavers.
You should be qualified to a minimum of BSc level in an animal related subject and have previous teaching experience in further or higher education. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential, but you must be willing to study towards this on your appointment.
Expertise in the areas of animal health, nutrition, training and conservation are desirable as is experience of working within the animal industry.
You may be required to teach across a range of levels in animal care from entry level upwards. You will be required to assist the curriculum manager to further develop the animal management provision which will include the implementation
of the new T level qualifications. The successful candidate will be passionate and skilled in preparing young people and adults for work in the sector. You should have excellent organisational skills and be able to work effectively with colleagues to ensure learners are supported to achieve at the highest level.
Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
