The ideal Analytics Services Manager candidate can demonstrate the following:
- Uses their expertise in business data analysis as part of our Professional Services team, which helps companies in the manufacture and distribution of consumer and industrial, temperature-sensitive food and pharmaceutical products to improve their quality and profitability. This position involves applying appropriate statistical techniques and data analysis methodologies to deliver information and visualizations that help our customers better manage temperature and energy usage.
- Applies technical leadership, innovative thinking, and fresh ideas. This role encompasses defining a portfolio of analytics services and a strategy for delivering actionable information by using appropriate tools and technologies. The Analytics Services Manager is a crucial member of the team with direct responsibility for developing, improving, and delivering the information services we provide to our customers. The Analytics Services Manager will work in a dynamic department in a fast-growing, financially sound company with a group of innovative, team-oriented professionals.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzing customer data and presenting results of the analysis clearly and concisely
- Developing and improving appropriate methodologies for analyzing our customers’ data
- Application of information visualization methodologies
- Training non-statisticians on principles and applications of statistical data analysis and information visualization
- Championing the proper use of statistical methods, including statistical process control and sound decision-making based on stable analysis.
- Working together with other organizations to generate ideas and validating the business needs for these ideas based on thorough research.
- Collaborating with Product Marketing Managers, Account Managers, Software Engineering, and other key stakeholders to translate customer and market needs into requirements.
- Managing the Analytics Services portfolio by proactively driving analytics projects to a conclusion in order to meet agreed upon delivery timelines.
- Engaging with customers through active participation in meetings and industry events, as required.
- Responsible for the execution of the strategies and quality of the services.
Key Interactions
- Daily interaction with a cross-functional team of engineers, food scientists, project managers, and salespeople located in our headquarters office and around the world in-person, by phone, and email.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or equivalent experience; or master’s degree in industrial statistics, applied statistics, or related degree field; or Ph.D.
- 7+ years of proven experience in industrial statistics and its practical applications with a bachelor’s degree; 5 + years with a master’s degree; or 3 + years with a Ph.D.
- Experience working in a consulting capacity desired
- Advanced Data Visualization and BI tools skill level required, preferably in Tableau and Power BI
- Familiarity with typical statistical analysis applications
- Learning agility, collaboration skills, and the ability to exhibit independent initiative.
- Working knowledge of SQL, R, Python
- Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and spoken English.
