JOB DESCRIPTION
Paralegal Position – Mutual Fund Regulatory Group
The incumbent will provide paralegal assistance and support primarily to a team of legal professionals responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of a high volume of registered mutual fund regulatory filings and related documentation. The incumbent will work under the supervision of one or more attorneys and senior supervisory paralegals. The incumbent will serve as a member of the paralegal staff and be responsible for mutual fund regulatory filings. This position may also involve contact with counterparties, outside counsel, service providers, board members, internal business lines and departments, and regulators, to a limited degree.
Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent will provide paralegal assistance and support primarily to a team of legal professionals responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of a high volume of registered mutual fund regulatory filings and related documentation. The incumbent will serve as a member of the paralegal staff and be responsible for mutual fund regulatory filings. This position may also involve contact with counterparties, outside counsel, service providers, board members, internal business lines and departments, and regulators, to a limited degree.
Qualifications
- Incumbent should have 1-3 years of working experience as a paralegal.
- Prior mutual fund regulatory filing experience or corporate secretarial paralegal experience is preferred.
- A paralegal certificate from a business school, college or university or experience as a paralegal in a corporate, government, or private law firm setting is also preferred.
