Full-Time Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis

POSITION SUMMARY: 
We are seeking an Analyst of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our Finance team. The focus of FP&A is to (1) provide support for strategic planning, annual budget and forecast processes, (2) analyze and report our financial results internally and to our Board of Directors, and (3) partner with the organization’s budget holders worldwide in order to assist in the achievement of organizational goals. This role will provide support in budget development, monitoring, grant proposal review and financial forecasting. Further assignments will include various organization-wide initiatives. The Analyst of Financial Planning & Analysis will perform duties under the guidance and instruction of the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Assist in the management of the Annual Budget process, including:
· Prepare budget worksheets with comparative prior year information
· Work with budget holders to facilitate their completion of submissions
· Assist in the analysis and production of the budget package for management review
· Assist in monthly spread of budget worksheets and upload into system

Monthly and Yearend close responsibilities, including:
· Perform analytics of restricted time allocation and associated entries
· Track and analyze the monthly actual reports for assigned departments and large multi-department organizational projects to identify issues and opportunities versus budget and to assist in preparation of any needed adjustment entries
· Assist in review of Federal grant budget proposals and final budgets for system upload
· Assist in analysis for our annual financial audit, as needed
· Assist in the completion of other finance tasks, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Finance or Data Analytics
-Minimum of 2-3 years budgeting/finance or data analytics experience
-Non-profit finance experience preferred
-Basic knowledge of accounting and financial statements preferred
-Experience with large financial software system required; budget software preferred
-Attention to detail and ability to work to defined specifications
-Ability to manage, analyze and communicate insights from large data sets
-Inquisitive with strong analytic and observation skills
-Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to propose new solutions
-Excellent written and oral communication, time management and personnel skills
-Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook required
-Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
