Temporary AmeriCorps Member for Financial Literacy at Compass Housing Alliance
Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION: The AmeriCorps members will provide direct services in the Client Services Office (CSO) including savings accounts, mail services, reduced fare bus passes, and support with payee/housing retention case management. The AmeriCorps members will also provide information and referral to services such as mental health and/or chemical dependency treatment, food, shelter, hygiene, clean clothes, and transportation. The AmeriCorps members will produce 3 Financial Literacy courses, recruit, train and manage volunteers, and help transition vulnerable clients into safe and affordable housing. AmeriCorps members will provide services while maintaining professional boundaries. They will also serve a diverse population of clients, some who may display a wide range of unpleasant and/or bizarre behavior and assist the team when necessary to intervene in client crisis (medical, mental health, interpersonal).

REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator
