What are we looking for?
An exciting position has become available for a passionate, and personable individual to join us as a technical sales manager within our space business customer base. As our technical sales manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities for our radio frequency (RF) products which include ferrite switch systems, filters and multiplexers, and other RF microwave components.
This role encompasses the entire sales cycle, and you will take the lead in order to coordinate the tendering of new target projects, and product sales. You will negotiate contracts, ensuring all final contracts entered into, fulfil the intended purpose, minimise risk, and of course improve the organisations commercial position to contribute to revenue, and margin growth.
You will be working individually, but also as part of wider global team of technical sales managers, and customer business managers.
This is an exciting opportunity offering the opportunity to work out of our Aylesbury, Edinburgh, or Harwell sites
What will you be doing every day?
Identify new opportunities for RF products within the international space market.
Build effective sales pipeline through customer visits, telephone calls and follow up enquiries to exceed quarterly sales intake targets
Maintain customer relationships to ensure continuing business and develop new opportunities to maximise growth.
Ensure the Honeywell website provides for appropriate customer search of the assigned product set
Lead cross functional teams on the construction and delivery of business winning proposals
Use customer relationships and associated market knowledge to propose pricing of products and projects
Lead on the review and negotiation of contracts to ensure we maximise opportunities for price and profitability to maximise growth.
Liaise with key contacts to ensure necessary assistance is secured for the completion of contracts to ensure maximum profitability and closure of the sale.
Monthly report on activities and achievements against objectives.
What skills and requirements do you need?
Ideally you will be degree educated within an engineering discipline
You will need to have significant experience or professional development in the field of engineering (radio frequency or microwave preferred)
You will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate eloquently
You will have strong negotiation skills
You will have a track record of success in securing technical sales
You will have a high level knowledge of financial data, commercial contracts, and legal requirements
