Temporary Advertising Coordinator (Contract)

Job Description

PRX is seeking a Contract Coordinator to provide support to the Sponsorship team. The Contract Coordinator – by partnering with the Sales Operations and Advertising Operations teams will play an important role in assisting in managing the life cycle of the pre and post-sales process as well as producer relations for broadcast and podcast productions. This person is a passionate public media enthusiast, highly organized, focused on delivering exceptional customer service, and working as a trusted collaborator across the organization. This is a freelance/contractor opportunity and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

Scope of Work

  • Helps to maintain a dashboard for the department to monitor progress toward individual show revenue goals
  • Helps to manage and maintain a database of advertiser preferences for all podcast shows on the network
  • Assist in the sponsor approval process
  • Deliver sponsor copy to producers to be recorded for ad reads
  • Support producers with copywriting sponsor scripts
  • Assist with the creation of internal media plans to promote new podcasts across the PRX portfolio
  • Assist with keeping episode release schedules up to date
  • Assist with campaign set-up in PRX’s proprietary ad server
  • Monitor campaign pacing in ad server and identify instances of potential under-delivery
  • Partner with marketing and analytics team in survey data collection and organization

Ongoing Projects

  • Update larger sponsorship team on key developments in the rapidly changing podcasting advertising ecosystem and apply that knowledge to update or build new processes that support changing industry needs and internal workflow
  • Identify opportunities to create and streamline processes and systems where needed

Requirements

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think proactively and be solution oriented
  • Good judgment, strong critical thinking skills and the desire to take ownership of complex projects
  • Strong analytical (strategic and creative) capabilities and judgment
  • Proficient in Google tools, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets
  • Proficient in spreadsheets and database systems, such as Airtable
  • Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM systems

Education & Experience

  • Two to four years of experience in partnerships, customer service, or marketing with a strong preference for experience in media or advertising

This is a contractor role and is not eligible for benefits. Staffing agencies may email **@pr*.org with proposals. Our contractor rates vary. For this role, we anticipate a rate between $28-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
