Advertising Assistant, OMD Diverse

OMD Diverse specialises in multicultural media solutions to help brands reach Australia’s diverse community audiences including CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse), Indigenous and LGBTQI communities. With over 1 in 4 Australians born overseas, the need to be relevant and culturally specific in our advertising has never been so important. We develop culturally relevant media campaigns targeting the extensive multicultural and diverse communities across Australia.

What your typical day will look like?

As the OMD Diverse Assistant, you will assist the members of your team in the creation of market leading ideas for your clients for some of Australia’s most recongised brands!

Reporting into OMD Diverse, Account Manager you will work with OMD client teams across OMD offices nationally to excute innovative multicultural media strategies and implementation.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day account management and implementation of campaigns
  • Being the support contact for client/media liaison on day-to-day matters
  • Administrative services such as arrangement of meetings, preparation of WIPs, compilation of project reports
  • Generate media insights using various data sources, data analytics and craft strategic recommendations
  • Develop cultural calendars and white papers to educate OMD about multicultural holidays and events
  • Providing assistance to the team during invoicing and reconciliation, financial administration
  • Generate creative ideas within role accountabilities (process improvements etc.) and actively contribute to idea generation and optimisation

  • A natural collaborator and problem solver who is enthusiastic about helping others
  • Knowledge of Chinese media platforms (such as WeChat, Weibo and Youku) and media vendors would be of notable interest
