Intermountain Healthcare – Posted by Physician_APP Recruiting Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

Job Description

Job Description:

We are excited to welcome a new Advanced Practice Provider to our Plastic Surgery team, based at Intermountain Salt Lake Clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah. We are an interdisciplinary and culturally diverse team supporting patients with plastic, hand, and facial trauma surgical needs.

As approximately 60% of our patients are seeking gender-affirming surgery, the APP must be internally motivated to care for gender patients in accordance with WPATH and Center of Excellence for Transgender Health standards.

Ability and knowledge of traversing inpatient and outpatients settings, as well as prior clinical experience in surgery, is also valuable for success in this position.

The APP will provide care in clinic, hospital, and surgical settings. Clinic responsibilities will include seeing patients for initial visits, pre-op, post-op, and follow up care. In hospital, the APP will round with post-operative patients and consult on trauma patients in the emergency room, with the expectation to contact the collaborating surgeon with an assessment and initial plan of care.

Full time, the APP will work during regular clinic hours. They will also be expected to assist in call time associated with the practice after-hours and on weekends, in addition to taking trauma call alongside their collaborating surgeon.
