Thompson Coburn, a large full-service law firm with offices in eight (8) cities across the U.S., is in search of an Administrative Support Assistant / Legal Administrative Assistant Trainee to fill a full-time non-exempt position in its St. Louis office. This position will be mentored by an experienced member of our legal administrative support team and provided with training and an opportunity to advance to a Legal Administrative Assistant position. The person selected for this position must be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires in-office support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to assigned attorneys, including calendaring, preparing letters and emails, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing attorney contact and client lists.
  • Ensures assigned attorney timesheets are entered, proofread, and released in accordance with deadlines.  Performs time edits as needed for assigned attorneys.
  • Performs scan/copy/print projects for legal support staff, attorneys, and paralegals.
  • Inputs invoices and expense reports in the Firm’s software system utilized for processing.
  • Routes conflict checks and assists with opening new clients/matters through the Firm’s client intake software.

 

Experience and Education Qualifications

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required.  Associate Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working in an administrative capacity is required.
