Qualified applicants will possess excellent attention to detail, organization and communication skills, and willingness to learn new technology. Associate’s degree and one year of administrative support experience preferred. The person selected for this position must be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires in-office support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides clerical support to legal support staff, attorneys, and paralegals under the mentorship of an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant or Specialist.
- Ensures attorney timesheets are entered, proofread, and released in accordance with deadlines. Performs time edits as necessary.
- Profiles and uploads documents in the Firm’s electronic document management system and organizes paper copies in files as appropriate.
- Produces, edits, and formats correspondence, memoranda, reports, and other legal documents utilizing computers, transcription equipment, and other office equipment.
- Assists attorneys and LAAs with specialized tasks and projects.
Experience and Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience working in an administrative capacity preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
