Job Description
- Be a ferry brand ambassador, answering calls and transferring to appropriate staff.
- Greet and answer questions from the traveling public, giving information of ferry schedules and the surrounding areas.
- Sell tickets and run reports for the passenger ferry during season.
- Perform daily traffic validations/
- Clean our reception area restrooms.
- Maintain supplies in our storeroom.
- General knowledge of office practices and procedures to compile, review, verify, complete, and record data for records and reports.
- Ability to engage positively with the public on a daily basis.
- Excellent phone etiquette and experience demonstrating professional customer service skills at all times.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, use your strong math skills, establish and update records and reports, and generate and analyze of reports.
- Ability to perform work in accordance with NCDOT workplace and safety policies.
- Computer skills using Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook), and web browsers.
- Experience gathering and giving information and instructions.
- Excellent customer services skills working with people with courtesy and tact.
- High school/GED diploma, and
- 1 year of administrative experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
