Full-Time Administrative Associate II
Job Description
- Prepare documents and correspondence for projects.
- Enter documents, reports, and samples into our Microsoft SharePoint and HICAMS systems.
- Perform office purchasing and process invoices.
- Be our receptionist answering calls.
- Scan files and large plans.
- File and maintain records.
- Assist the public with requests by email, phone, web (Contact Us), and walk-in contact.
- Perform clerical duties.
- Assist with the processing of materials received tickets, driveway permits, road additions/abandonments, and house moves.
- Customer service experience resolving customer issues by phone, in person, email, and online.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, and to learn and use NCDOT programs, such as SAP, Ariba, SharePoint, and HiCams.
- Experience completing/maintaining records and reports.
- Experience reviewing detailed documents and records for accuracy and completeness.
- Experience with letter writing, using correct spelling, punctuation, and proofreading.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills to convey technical knowledge with Engineers, coworkers, and the public.
- General math skills.
- Significant vocabulary/grammar skills for proofreading correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Ability to schedule and coordinate appointments, meetings, and conferences.
- Strong composition skills, attention to detail, and consistency with data entry and correspondence.
- Ability to work in an inside environment, including sitting for long periods.
- High school/GED diploma, and
- 1+ year of administrative experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
