Job Description
What you’ll bring to NYSCASA:
High School Diploma and/or higher degree, with 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
Commitment to and understanding of addressing sexual violence, anti-oppression work, racial justice, and other social justice issues.
Strong written and verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Attention to details.
Prior experience with database management and data entry.
Must maintain confidentiality with all sensitive materials.
Professional phone mannerisms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook.
Ability to be responsive and adapt to changing needs.
Must be able to lift basic office equipment up to 20lbs, as needed.
Ability to work-independently and self-motivated, with a positive and professional approach to
management.
Effective time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and with teams.

Primary Duties:
Answer agency phones, providing assistance to callers as needed; work within a team approach to
assist victims, survivors, and member programs and the public via telephone and other forms of communication in regards to requests for information and referral.
Collect, review and process mail received daily.
Greet and interact with vendors and other contracted staff to ensure day-to-day operations are completed.
Filing, scanning and handling other administrative tasks.
Provide support with maintaining database of organizational contacts (i.e., members, donors, colleagues, etc.) to support effective agency communications.
Maintain inventory and equipment database tracking system for internal operations that comply with funder requirements in a systematic manner.
Generate, send, and track (email or postal mail) donor thank-you letters and related
communications.
Support execution of handling all tasks associated with the lending resource library (i.e., submitting purchase requests, cataloging, lending, tracking, etc.)
Under supervision, collect/review/edit progress narrative reports prepared by staff and submit complete, accurate reports to funders on time.
Collect all reports, backup documentation and other items needed from grantees to comply with funding requirements in a systematic and timely manner.
Complete filing projects that supports maintaining well-organized, up-to-date files, containing documentation needed to respond to compliance related requests.
Typical Physical Demands:
Requires prolonged sitting and repetitive tasks including use of a computer. May require standing, walking, bending, repetitive motion of hands and wrists, reaching, pushing, and pulling, lifting. Visual acuity sufficient for work on a computer screen and review printed documents. May require walking up and down stairs. Requires the ability to hear and communicate orally with others. Frequent use of standard office equipment including computers, phones, printers/copiers, and filing systems.
Typical Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed in an indoor office environment. Requires a flexible schedule and ability to work up to 8 hours per day.
