Part-Time Admin Support/Receptionist
Job Description
- Administrative support which includes but is not limited to filing, faxing, photocopying, and typing
- Greet and direct visitors appropriately
- Direct incoming calls in a timely manner and operate a paging system as needed
- Monitor the lobby to ensure resident safety and respond to emergency situations in accordance with the Centre’s policies and procedures
- Responsible for monetary transactions which may include payment receipts and collecting cash for meal tickets
- Maintain organization and confidentiality of documents (may include filing, archiving and/or shredding documents)
- Responsible for petty cash including reconciliation and replenishment
- Special projects as assigned (may require additional work hours)
- Supports scheduling/payroll function by doing call ins for staff replacements and related data entry/changes
- Acts as a back-up for the Financial Control Clerk as assigned
What the Role Requires:
- High school diploma or equivalent along with skills in basic accounting
- Minimum of one year customer service experience within a health care environment
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may also be considered
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and general accounting software applications such as Point Click Care
Skills/Abilities:
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to act appropriately in situations requiring compassion, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal direction and as part of a team
- Previous cash handling experience
Nice to have:
- Experience in PeopleSoft, or Absence Management, Scheduling and Time Administration experience
