Full-Time Accounting Technician – Payment Audit – Entry Level
Job Description
- Approve purchase order invoices and non-purchase order invoices.
- Audit scanned backup documentation to ensure correct information is attached and correctly entered in the NCDOT accounting system.
- Assist employees with questions and problems processing documents.
- Communicate regularly with field staff to ensure invoices meet NCDOT policies/procedures.
- Approve company credit card invoices.
- Work to resolve outstanding issues on statements.
- Experience with SAP or other accounting systems.
- Experience with accounting methods and procedures and practices, specifically auditing experience in Accounts Payable.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience understanding, interpreting, and applying laws related to financial records.
- Associate degree in Accounting; or
- High School/GED diploma, and
- 2+ years of accounting experience; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
