Full-Time Accounting Technician II – Accounts Payable
Job Description
- Audit and approve contracts and grants.
- Perform vendor setups.
- Maintain suppliers.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Engage frequently with internal and external customers and NCDOT field staff to ensure vendors, contracts and invoices are setup and paid out following Internal Revenue Service guidelines.
- Flexibility to work multiple job duties.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to work well with internal and external customers.
- Experience with general accounting principles, processes, and procedures.
- Experience reviewing work of others and implementing financial policies and procedures.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience creating reports using accounting software.
- Experience troubleshooting and solving accounting issues with effective communications.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, and
- 1+ years of accounting experience; or
- High School/GED diploma, and
- 3+ years of accounting experience; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
