Full-Time Accounting Manager
Job Description

The Accounting Manager will assist in planning and direct the accounting activities of the department.
Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for:
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure, participates in timely closing and reporting of financial information, deposits check and prepares monthly bank reconciliation, processes quarterly tax payments, supports budget and forecasting activities, assists in year-end audit, supports grants management.
- Assist internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Preparation of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Audits accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years or more of related experience.
- Audit or public accounting experience (Preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
