Full-Time Accounting Manager

Job Description

The International Institute for Restorative Practices has a position available for an Accounting Manager to work in a growing and fast-paced non-profit consortium with three distinct companies.

This FT exempt position reports directly to the CFO and works with a current staff of 4 to help manage the expanding operations of the unit and the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of initiative; a solid understanding of GAAP; the ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment; and an innate exceptional attention to detail. An MBA or CPA is preferred. Experience with QuickBooks or similar software is required.

This position can work remotely or on-site, or a combination thereof. The fiscal unit currently meets daily via Zoom to stay connected and informed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Performs account reconciliation and variance analysis to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting.

· Prepares projections and sales goals.

· Produces organizational and project-related budgets.

· Coordinates internal and external audits, including preparation of financial schedules.

· Maintains and updates accounting procedure manuals.

· Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable.

· Supports the financial staff to ensure quality and completion of work.

· Responds to special requests and projects.

· Helps innovate procedures and systems to increase office efficiencies.

· Performs other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

· Understanding of FASB and GAAP.

· Significant record of financial experience in various settings.

· Ability to supervise and motivate staff to achieve a positive work environment and good job performance.

· Good interpersonal and communication skills.

· MBA and/or CPA preferred.
