Position Summary:
The accounting coordinator is responsible for key accounting areas including accounts receivable and accounts payable. The individual is also responsible for communicating with vendors, councils and internal stakeholders for various inquiries and issue resolution.
Responsibilities:

- Manages the full cycle receivables process, including invoice generation, issuance of credit memos, past due notices and research of issues related
- Manages the accounts payable cycle, including 2nd level review of employee expense reports, processing invoices for payment and management of master vendor records. Responsible for responding to inquiries related to payment status and working with vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Assists the accounting manager with the month-end close process by ensuring that bank activity related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash and inventory are accurately reflected in the general ledger and reviews related bank account activity to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Assists with payroll processing and associated benefits reconciliation.
General Responsibilities:
- Serve as a role model for Girls on the Run
- Develop positive relationships with staff and council members
- Ensure actions comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by being familiar with existing and new legislation
- Any other duties deemed necessary by the accounting manager and senior management
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of related accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience
- Strong attention to detail and an understanding of accounting transaction cycles
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with general ledger software; NetSuite preferred
- Strong customer service skills with excellent follow-up and follow-through
- Able to thrive in a complex environment managing multiple tasks simultaneously

This position is offering a compensation range of $20 – $25/hour depending on experience. In addition, Girls on the Run International offers a generous PTO plan, a benefits package including company-subsidized medical and dental, vision coverage, life insurance, and paid medical leave and a 401k plan with employer match. This position is 40 hours per week and is completely remote. The selected candidate must currently reside in or have immediate plans to relocate to one of the following states: California, Connecticut, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas or Wisconsin.
