Accounting Clerk I (General)
Finance Department
One (1) Permanent Position – Competition No. C106822 ACCI (E)
One (1) Temporary Position – Competition No. C106922 ACCI (E)
As a member of the Finance Department, these positions may be responsible for the following:
- Completes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing or Cashier functions efficiently and accurately on behalf of NLC
- Prepares timely and accurate coding of invoices
- Investigates and communicates any invoice discrepancies
- Processes the weekly payment runs
- Responds to supplier, customer and employee inquiries in a timely manner
- Completes month end procedures
- Prepares and distributes reports periodically
- Provides support to other members of the Finance Team
- Other finance related functions as required.
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- High School graduation
- Completion of a recognized accounting diploma from a post-secondary institution
- One to two years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a computerized environment
- Some experience using the Microsoft Dynamics Financial System
- Knowledge of MS Office including Excel (proficiency testing may be required)
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

Salary: CG 25 – $40,768 – $44,935.80 annually
