Temporary Position

As a member of the Finance Department, this position is responsible for the following:
- Prepares timely and accurate coding and payment of non-product invoices;
- Investigates and communicates any discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders and receiving reports and ensures the appropriate approval of invoices;
- Processes employee expense claims and petty cash requests on a timely basis;
- Processes the weekly cheque run and ensures payment terms are being adhered to;
- Maintains the vendor database by creating or making changes to existing vendors;
- Follows up on outstanding purchase orders and receiving reports;
- Responds to supplier and/or employee inquiries in a timely manner;
- Completes month end procedures;
- Other finance related functions as required.
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized accounting diploma from a post-secondary institution;
- A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a computerized environment;
- Some experience using the Microsoft Dynamics Financial System;
- Knowledge of MS Office including Excel (proficiency testing may be required);
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is highly motivated, possesses excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing abilities, interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work as a member of a results oriented team.

Salary: CG 25: $40,768.00 – $44,935.80 annually
