The Accounting Assistant assists the accounting staff and the accounts payable team as needed. This position maintains documents in the document retention system, administers returned customer refunds, and sustains records in the billing system to ensure they are up to date.

What you will do to contribute to the company’s success

Maintains documents in the document retention system by preparing and organizing documents to be scanned, scanning and uploading the documents into the system, and reviewing the documents for accuracy and viewing completeness.
Administers returned customer refunds.
Assists Accounts Payable in ensuring that the tax amount being given is correct and that proper support is being performed before the return is filed.
Processes and creates Journal Entries.
Assists accounting staff and accounts payable team with basic accounting tasks as needed.
Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
Qualifications

An understanding of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
Ability to work in team environment and collaborate with others.
Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently.
Excellent attention to detail.
Able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
Analytical, problem solving, decision making and organization skills.
