Job Description
- Analyze daily revenue activities in multiple systems.
- Reconcile using various types of collection methods.
- Learn and apply business rules related to debt.
- Apply financial standards and rules for system controls.
- Provide assistance for routine and non-routine requests for information.
- Work with other Toll Revenue Accountants to manage the multi-state revenue exchange and fees with each state associated with the tolling activity between North Carolina and other states.
- Work with other Toll Revenue Accountants to manage credit card chargebacks, returned bank items, collections and refunds to customers.
- Use your computer skills in VECTOR 4G, SAP, Word, and Excel.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to revenue reporting, accounts receivables, accounts payables, general ledger, and system design.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Leadership skills to coordinate and communicate concise, comprehensive, and accurate findings on matters of a complex nature in written and verbal form.
- Experience and demonstrated ability troubleshooting accounting issues in systems and with customer accounts.
- Experience and working knowledge with bond, federal, and state requirements.
- Bachelors degree in accounting, or a Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or related discipline, and 18 semester hours of accounting, and
- 2+ years of accounting/auditing experience in the preparation of interpretive/analytical accounting/financial statements and reports; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
