Responsibilities:
– Prepare Excel based journal entries with proper support to ensure transactions are recognized according to GAAP and in a 2.5 day month close timeline
– Create Excel based management reports to be used internally to assess financial performance
– Perform daily cash reconciliations, investigate and resolve variances, work with operations teams to communicate variances.
– Maintain ownership for selected general ledger accounts; reconcile those accounts within policy guidelines
Skills/Experience:
– Established background and technical expertise in manual financial statement preparation, ability to start with a Trial Balance and deliver full suite of financial statements quarterly
– 5 years related work experience in operational Accounting
– Strong MS Excel skills, ability to work with transaction level datasets and distill to meaningful reports
– Ability to synthesize information about quickly changing business offerings and translate them to accounting impacts
– Comfortable working on web based applications including Google Sheets/Docs, JIRA, Blackline, Box, etc.
– Experience working in a fast paced technology company environment where process change frequently
Education:
– BA / BS in Accounting or related field required
– CPA license preferred
