The Groupon Advertising team operates at the intersection of advertising and ecommerce. From awareness and new customer acquisition through to increasing the lifetime value of existing clients via up-sell and cross-sell, we provide solutions for our partners through the entire customer journey. As part of the Groupon Advertising team, Account Managers focus on growing revenue for new and existing clients. Through a passion for building client relationships, you will focus on driving incremental revenue to Groupon and delivering quality marketing opportunities to clients. You will work with online, app-based, and offline advertisers and their agencies and advertising partners across a number of verticals to deliver quality marketing solutions tailored to their needs.

You’ll spend your time on the following:

  • Becoming a knowledgeable partner to our clients on Groupon Advertising solutions
  • Developing brand and media strategies based on overall advertiser goals & objectives
  • Evaluating KPIs and optimizing campaign performance using a data-driven approach
  • Performing in-depth data analysis to deliver actionable insights & recommendations to the advertiser that influence both short- and long-term digital media strategy
  • Educating advertisers on performance metrics, insights, and how to achieve greater results via Groupon Advertising
  • Executing cross-selling of multiple Groupon products
  • Preparing and presenting media proposals to influence senior-level executives and other key decision-makers
  • Forging solid partnerships directly with brands and indirectly via their agencies or service providers (such as affiliate networks and other marketing technologies).
  • Collaborating with key internal stakeholders including operations, merchandising, accounts payable, content, and others as needed
  • Working to achieve sales quotas and other business-critical metrics
  • Developing and sharing insights with internal Groupon teams that will help drive enhanced merchant and customer experiences

We’re excited if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales experience in digital advertising (client facing roles with a focus on business development and data-forward media planning and solution selling)
  • Experience with digital media/marketing strategy, data analysis, and data analytics & visualization
  • Success in optimizing products and services based on client needs
  • Experience with media planning cycles
  • Proficient with Salesforce, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Tableau
  • Experience selling media on a brand or performance basis to Advertisers and Agencies
  • An understanding of the various online media channels and their associated measurement, tracking, and targeting tools and technology that are used by online marketing teams (such as DSPs, DMPs, Affiliate, email, SEM, social)
  • Ecommerce site advertising sales and/or affiliate/media sales a plus
