Full-Time Account Executive – Branded Content & Digital Media Sales
Job Description
The Brand Content and Partnerships Team develops cross-platform marketing programs that leverage the power of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Ellen Digital Network to create custom solutions for advertisers and brand partners. The team works with ELLEN’s award-winning writers and producers to develop, create and distribute custom branded content that reaches fans at scale across all platforms.
We are looking for an experienced Account Executive with a passion for content, marketing and client services to drive revenue through the sale of custom video, integrations and digital/social media. This role will focus on selling integrations within The Ellen DeGeneres Show along with media & sponsorships for Ellen Digital Networks’ slate of original programming and custom content developed for brand partners.
The ideal candidate is strategic and solution-oriented with the ability to go beyond traditional sales tools to deliver on brand goals, including shaping new solutions with creative teams. This is a creative sales role with revenue goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proactively prospect, grow and close business to meet quarterly revenue goals through the sale of TV integrations, custom digital & social programs, content sponsorships and digital media
- Develop a deep understanding of the ELLEN brand and content ecosystem in order to create innovative integrated marketing programs for brand partners
- Powerfully articulate and present ELLEN opportunities in the marketplace while leading sales & pitch meetings with agencies and brands
- Incorporate best-in-class strategies to package and sell on-air, digital, social, video and mobile game partnership programs
- Own and shape sales strategy for assigned categories, including goal and revenue projections
- Work with management to accurately forecast revenue, offering clear visibility on sales and revenue performance by actively updating deal pipelines and sales status
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment on creative, production, talent, and timing that allows for flawless program execution
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, proactively sharing learnings with the team that can be incorporated into sales packages
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 3 years of integrated sales experience selling TV integrations, custom digital video, social content and media sponsorships
- Experience managing and closing custom content deals and integrated, multi-platform programs with a solid understanding of media plans
- Demonstrated ability to develop and nurture meaningful relationships with agencies and brands, with a current list of agency and client relationships
- Ability to independently prospect, develop a new business pipeline and close deals
- Knowledge and understanding of advertising pricing and packaging
- Experience creating effective pitch materials, sales decks & proposals (Keynote, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be a problem solver and creative thinker
- Self-starter with strong team ideals and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel as needed (when safe to do so)
