Position Purpose
The TRiO Student Success and Disability Support Program is funded to increase the retention and graduation rates of students with disabilities who may also be first generation and low income. This is accomplished through needs assessment, academic advising, instruction, writing assistance, tutoring, assistive technology, financial aid guidance, career and graduate school counseling, and cultural enrichment activities. A core component of these positions is to advocate for and support students with disabilities at Evergreen.
These positions are responsible for assessing program participants’ academic needs, developing and implementing individualized educational plans to help participants succeed academically, and monitoring their academic skills development and curricular progress in a collaborative, team-oriented office. As a member of the TRiO Student Success team, these positions may also assist with teaching courses and workshops, as well as supporting our TRiO student mentors and tutors. The positions will primarily work from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday.
There are two full time, overtime-exempt project positions on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State College. These positions are federally funded through August 31, 2025 and exempt from state Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
Salary and Benefits: $4,308 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
