Internship Academic Partnership Coordinator
Job Description
About The Role: The Academic Partnership Coordinator is responsible for increasing access to education and training for LGBTQIA+ and other doubly marginalized refugee community members.
Responsibilities:
- Build partnerships with academic institutions in order to secure free online educational and training opportunities that will broaden livelihood pathways for LGBTQIA+ and other doubly marginalized refugees.
- Work directly with LGBTQIA+ and other doubly marginalized refugees to secure successful placement in online education and training programs
- Represent Safe Place International at virtual and in-person events as needed.
- Utilize platforms adopted by SPI (e.g. Google Suite, Slack)
- Help build a workplace culture that is anti-racist, inclusive, equitable, trauma-informed, and team member-centric.
- Other duties as assigned by the SPI Leadership Team.
What Else You Should Know:
This role is a remote volunteer position. There is no fixed location requirement, but the Academic Partnership Coordinator must be available to meet and collaborate with team members located primarily in North America, Europe, and Africa.
