£31,950 – £41,395 per annum, pro rata

The working pattern is Monday A.M – 09:15 – 14:45 & P.M 18:00 – 21:00 (Every other week) Tuesday P.M 18:00 – 21:00 Thursday A.M – 09:15 – 14:45 & P.M 18:00 – 21:00
4 weeks per annum,
Abingdon Campus
Fixed term: 22/03/2024 (may be extended)
Skills:
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong organizational and time management skills
– Good presentation and classroom management skills
– Ability to explain complex concepts in a simplified way
– Knowledge of different learning styles and ability to cater to diverse learners
– Effective assessment, evaluation, and feedback skills
Knowledge:
– Strong knowledge of AAT syllabus and certification requirements for Levels 2 and 3
– Knowledge of current market trends and changes in the accounting industry
– Familiarity with different accounting software, such as Xero and Sage
– Strong grasp of basic accounting principles, practices, and procedures
– Understanding of basic taxation and finance concepts
Experience:
– Previous experience in teaching AAT Levels 2 and/or 3
– Relevant professional experience in accounting or finance
– Experience in creating lesson plans and assessments
– Experience in using modern teaching methods and resources such as virtual learning environments
– Experience in managing and supporting the learning and development of a diverse range of students.
Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
This role may be eligible for the ‘Taking Teaching Further (TTF)’ programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
