Full-Time 988 Quality Assurance Specialist
Job Description
Full-time 988 Quality Assurance Specialist responsible for assisting with the oversight of the organization’s quality improvement processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of service. This role will involve quality and compliance reviews, cultural assessments, data entry and supporting the organization’s policies and procedures. The position will also focus on monitoring standards, managing records, investigating complaints and implementing quality programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality & Compliance Reviews:
- Complete quality reviews of calls as required on an annual basis, ensuring adherence to internal standards.
- Conduct compliance reviews of calls annually to ensure they meet the organization’s compliance requirements.
- Perform cultural assessments of persons served by the 988 service to ensure culturally competent service delivery.
- Policy and Procedure Coordination:
- Coordinate, develop, and review policies and procedures to align with the organization’s goals and meet the requirements of external regulatory entities.
- Assist in reviewing and updating policies as new standards are introduced to ensure continued compliance.
- Compliance Monitoring:
- Monitor local, state, federal, Vibrant and accreditation standards to ensure the organization remains compliant with all applicable regulations.
- Ensure records are maintained accurately and consistently based on state and program standards.
- Sentinel Event Reporting:
- Organize, collect and report sentinel events for the organization, ensuring proper documentation and timely reporting to both internal stakeholders and external entities.
- Complaint Management:
- Promptly respond to and investigate complaints as they arise, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues and prevent future incidents.
- Annual Reporting & Planning:
- Assist in completing annual reports and planning for the organization, ensuring all information required by external entities is collected, analyzed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Quality Improvement Programs:
- Implementation, organization, and supervision of quality improvement programs aimed at enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Monitor the progress of quality programs and provide feedback to leadership for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field is required.
- Experience:
- Experience in quality assurance, compliance reviews, or regulatory monitoring in a healthcare or call center environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and database maintenance.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Key Competencies include analytical thinking, problem-solving and time management skills, ability to collaborate, attention to detail and ability to perform data analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access) and database management systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance protocols.
