Salary Range: $80,159 – $92,962
Essential Functions and Objectives:
Manages the portfolio of state and federally mandated assessments and supports teachers and school leaders in understanding the goals of assessments, preparing for assessment, conducting assessments, and using results for formative and summative purposes. Leads a team to provide training, customer service, and reporting to teachers, schools, and the central office in capturing student learning and understanding how outcomes are used.
– Oversees the administration of mandated state and federal assessments in collaboration with staff, educator teams, and District departments and manages relationships with state and national assessment program coordinators.
– Supports the administration of assessments at school sites and creates appropriate supports centrally, resulting in the ability to measure accurate student results in online or offline methods; use measures from online methods to improve process; and monitor systems to reliably serve teachers, with an expectation of annually reporting on these metrics.
– Collaborates with District teams to ensure the successful administration of online assessments, including hardware, software, and instructional readiness in both traditional and charter schools.
– Leads the recruitment, selection, management, development, and evaluation of a team whose members will support the administration of state assessments and collaborate in training teachers to utilize standardized administration methods when appropriate.
– Works with the assessment team and other departments to develop effective communication strategies, gain feedback on the use of assessments, continually improve processes and services in the District, and ensure assessment-related connections are made.
– Oversees the development of applications to streamline and enhance the collection of student-level data and coordinates and supports the data and reporting team.
– Serves as, or delegates the District Assessment Contact liaison to the Colorado Department of Education and collaborates at the state and regional levels to share best practices and understand assessment changes and updates in administration methods.
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
– Two (2) years of relevant experience.
– Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
– Excellent organization skills, including ability to incorporate methods and build systems that can be used across all schools.
– Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources.
– Self-starter with a strong work ethic and motivation.
– Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver engaging public presentations.
– Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.
– Ability to work independently as well as collaborate and communicate effectively within a team.
– Ability to motivate and influence others.
– Ability to be self-reflective and willing to incorporate feedback into team methods and department practices.
– High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
– Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, online resources, and other computer-based software to develop training materials.
-Teaching experience preferred
Education Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree required in education, social sciences, communications, or relevant field.
– Masters degree preferred.
